Wooster coach returns to alma mater

More news about: Wooster

Frank Colaprete, Wooster's head football coach since 2013, has resigned from the college and accepted the athletic director and head football coach position at his high school alma mater, Cardinal Mooney High School.

Wooster will launch a search for a new head coach immediately. Zach Dennis will serve as interim head coach while Wooster's coaching staff will continue with their recruiting duties. Assistant coach Brian Kooser (recruiting coordinator/offensive line) is the program's point for recruiting inquiries.

Colaprete was hired at Wooster in January 2013, after spending three seasons as the associate head coach at Johns Hopkins and defensive coordinator for five.

Under Colaprete, Wooster had five winning seasons, including a 7-3 mark in his second season. The Scots were 3-7 this past season, and 53-57 overall, a .482 winning percentage.
