BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University football closed out the home portion of its schedule as it held off Ohio Northern University in an Ohio Athletic Conference and Seniors' Day game by a final score of 27-26 on the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium.
BW (6-3, 5-3 OAC) improved to 34-14-1 in the all-time series with Ohio Northern (4-5, 3-5 OAC). The Yellow Jackets have now won 11 of the last 16 contests.
Offensively for BW, sophomore quarterback Charlie Bubonics (Solon) completed 16-of-23 passes for 183 yards with one touchdown. Sophomore running back George Linberger (Barberton/St. Vincent-St. Mary) rushed for 47 yards on 15 carries with one touchdown. Junior wide receiver Connor Awad (North Ridgeville/Midview) caught six passes for 88 yards. Defensively, junior linebacker Dom Tromba (Painesville/Riverside) tallied a game-high 11 tackles.
Offensively for Polar Bears, senior quarterback Brennon Norris completed 2-of-9 passes for 24 yards with one touchdown. Junior running back Louie Blasiole rushed for a game-best 159 yards on 20 carries with one touchdown. Sophomore running back Seth Borondy caught two passes for 24 yards with a touchdown. Defensively, senior All-OAC defensive back Dalton Tjong tallied nine tackles.
